Dealing with Fires

May 28th, 2010

When dealing with fires, it is important to have proper safety equipment around, such as water fire extinguishers. The best way to start a campfire is with kindling, wood, and newspaper. A lot of people tend to use gas as well but it is useless as well as dangerous. I use the “log cabin” technique, put down a base of 2 pieces of wood and then put 2 more pieces on top of that in the opposite direction. After that, stuff single sheets of newspaper and kindling between the logs. And then top it off with 2 more logs. Make sure the logs are relatively dry or else they won’t light. Last but not least, sit back and enjoy!
