‘Sawadeekap!’ – That is the first greeting you will hear whenever you just got off a plane to Thailand. Greeted by friendly smiling Thai locals, Thailand sure is a travelling spot one shouldn’t miss! From its tropical beaches, to its busy shopping markets, up until its bustling colourful nightlives – Thailand is one destination I would go back for travelling. I enjoy shopping in Chatuchak, with so many choices available, and the floating markets would definitely be a must-see! Moreover, their local Thai cuisines are unique and tastes great to the buds. I would surely recommend anyone to drop by Thailand for travelling anytime of the year!
The coolest place I’ve ever been to, is the City that Never Sleeps. No one needs to second guess where that place is, none other than New York! The perfect place for business and vacations, New York sure is a must-visit for anyone who’s stepped on American grounds. From its busy bustling streets to its bright night lights, there is so much to explore in such a big busy city! I enjoy seeing many busy people, visiting their night clubs, as well as searching for romantic places for dine-in! It was definitely the coolest place I’ve ever been to, I love the cities and the lights, I will come back again.
I just took on a new job today! No more boring and routine day-to-day work as per my previous job, I’m now looking at further personal development and learning opportunities! Talk about having more responsibilities and decision-making power, who wouldn’t want to wake up every morning, looking forward to a brand new day of challenges and tasks? I’m all for learning new things, harnessing new experience, in order to make my career life more fulfilling. My colleagues were really nice and fantastic, people I look forward to seeing everyday! My new boss is great too, she seems to warm up easily to me and I’m really glad! I’m just really happy, say good luck to me to a new career ahead!
Fire safety experts recommend that you at least keep a fire extinguisher near the main exit of your home so everyone in your household knows its location. The next area would be in the kitchen next to the stove. In order to have the best protection possible it would be wise to keep an extinguisher on each level of your home, one in your garage and one in each of your vehicles. Remember to buy the right classes of fire extinguishers (A, B, C, or a combo) for the potential fire risk. Most importantly, read the instructions it could really save you or your property in the long run.
The new generation of children today has a lot of work to do. We all know that times change and people change right along with it. Setting a secure, stable foundation for our children and their education is a must. We were always told growing up, that we are the children of the future. That is the same case today with this generation. There is an urgent need for people in power, mostly politicians, to realize you cannot put education on the back burner. Can you imagine in 15-20 years from now, most of our children probably would not be able to read or write. We need to make a change now!
Fire extinguishers are the one thing you not only want to own but the one thing you will want to know how to use. Many people have co2 fire extinguishers for home and that is great, but when a fire breaks out they spend precious seconds trying to figure out how to actually operate the extinguisher. Take the time to look at the instructions on your fire extinguisher so that in an emergency it will be second nature. You don’t want a small controllable fire to become a raging inferno just because you didn’t take the time to read a few lines of instructions. In addition to learning how to use a fire extinguisher, you should also take a day every month and run through a mock fire drill with your family. Make sure children know how to get out of the house in case of a fire and where to wait for you. Choose a different type of fire in a different room each time so that there will be no surprises if the worst should happen. A few minutes of your time can mean the safety of your family – it is definitely worth the trade off.
I finished reading a book called “A Virtuous Woman” by Kaye Gibbons. This book was a bit of everything. I’ll tell you from now, that I did cry. Yes, I am a bit wimpy to the sob stories. This book was about a couple, who were very much in love, but there was an age difference that most would talk about. In the end, the husband basically, had to learn how to manage without the love of his life. Regardless, of how much you plan, the heart will still grow fonder for the love of your life when they are not there.
I really enjoy fruits and vegetables. I do not eat any red meat, meaning, beef, steak, pork. I also, do not eat any poultry. However, I do love to eat seafood, especially, if I catch it myself. I am mainly eating a lot of vegetables and fruits though. Salads, I would have to say is one of the best combinations to get a lot of vitamins, nutrients. You can basically, put whatever you like in a salad. Sometimes, I just have the salad and seafood by itself, no starch. Very good!
I can say work and more work. This includes homework, finding a job and trying to start my own business. Usually, start around 8am and finish late in the evening. I tend to search for employment for the most part of the day. However, it is a bit difficult to find the job that you want. Therefore, the rest of my day is dedicated to doing schoolwork. Sometimes, I can get lost when I am studying. Not necessarily paying attention to time, and I can find myself studying for even up to six hours. Then, I would say the rest of the day, would be for chores around the house.
I would like to meet with Dr. Cornel West. He is a professor, intellect, writer, civil rights activist and a definite role model for me. I hear him talk and it is so influential, and a continuous reminder to my life to better oneself in order to better other people’s lives. I really look up to his dedication to education, and speaking up for the rights of people. It is my goal to hopefully, one day; get to hear his uplifting words in one of his famous lectures.
